Returns and Exchanges
All Long Ride Shields products are packaged with a clear film that adheres and conforms to the windshield surface. This protects from damage and ensures the purchaser receives a quality product. Upon receiving a windshield, inspect it for satisfactory performance and quality. If the film has not been removed and the rider is unhappy with the windshield for any reason, return it for a full exchange or refund, minus any shipping and handling charges.
In the event that the windshield is sent back with any damage or if the clear film has been removed, a restocking fee of 40% of the purchased price will be applied to the return or exchange. All shipping costs for returns and/or exchanges are the responsibility of the original purchaser of the product. All returns must be made within 30 days of the original product ship date.
Warranty
Long Ride Shields covers all products against manufacturing defects. If a windshield is found to have a defect, the purchaser is required to attain a Return Authorization Number from Long Ride Shields Customer Support. Please fill out an electronic ticket, e-mail, or call us for the R/A number. All shipping costs on defective products are the responsibility of Long Ride Shields. This warranty is valid within 30 days of the original product ship date.
Shipping
All our products ship within 48 hours of the time the order is processed. Our standard shipping methods are USPS priority (2-3 day), and USPS parcel (2-9 day on large shields). Please inquire for a quote on international shipping or expedited services. This shipping policy is not valid for any/all custom windshields.
FAQ:
How do you measure your windshields?
Our windshields are measured from the center screw in the fairing to the top of the windshield. For example, an 8" windshield looks slightly shorter when inserted in the fairing because of its hidden base.
Will your windshields work with fairing pouches?
Our Classic, Ultra, and X-Stream windshields 8 inches and over are compatible with fairing pouches.
When will my windshield get here?
Our windshields are shipped via USPS priority(2-3 days). We ship out within 24 hours. Delivery will take extra time if you are located internationally.

Long Ride Shields Windshields are formed using a special heat forming method, in order to preserve the optical quality of the material. As a part of the forming a Flip-up or Curve is formed at the top of the windshield which serves to deflect wind over the riders head. Our design has been tested and proven to maximize the amount of wind deflection while allowing for the least amount of drag.
Impact Modified Acrylic vs. Lexan:
Long ride shields are made from impact modified acrylic. It is a hybrid material with the structural strength of Poly carbonates but doesn't fade with exposure to sunlight. When formed into shape our windshields offer maximum protection from rocks and flying debris. Our windshields have every bit of strength as a lexan or poly carbonate windshield, and because they are heat formed in a special process they do not have the added stress that most flat (bend into place) windshields have when installed.
Formed vs. Flat:
A cheap non-formed windshield will shatter with the smallest strike of a pebble due to over-stressed non-molded plastic. A formed windshield maintains its strength and integrity. Our windshields are guaranteed to be the strongest windshields available.
